Developing the Ministry of Education Organization Structure
Selection, Training and the Development of Educational Leadership
Description:
This is one of the projects of the Strategic Plan for Public Education Development/Tatweer Company for Educational Services. One
of its components is a Professional Development Program which aims to develop (600) future leaders and (13,000) current leaders
at the Ministry of Education. This will be achieved in collaboration with international think tanks following a vision to improve the
performance of the current leaders and to develop future leaders to adopt the educational vision for the future and materialize the
educational strategy in the Kingdom. The project will be implemented during the period of (2013-2017).
Accomplishments in 2015
• Prepared the Eligibility Model document for the Ministry of Education leaders
• Prepared the Career Path Model for leadership positions within the Ministry of Education
• Assessed (400) leaders at the Ministry of Education using the Eligibility Model
• Submitted a comprehensive report to the Ministry of Education on the requirements of leadership development
