Kindergarten Curricula Development Program
Description:
The Kindergarten Curricula Development Program is one of the strategic projects included in the Strategic Plan for Public Education
Development. The project aims to adopt curricula developed in line with international standards. It also builds the capacity of schools
and Directorates of Education where the curricula has been in use for one year. The project is considered to be in its second phase of
implementation which is involves completing three different curricula for (200) kindergartens, implemented by 3 think tanks specialized in
the field of early childhood education. The implementation is accompanied by conducting workshops for female teachers and principals
where progress will be evaluated by a team of experts.
The most appropriate curriculum will be selected for a comprehensive rollout in the following years.
Accomplishments in 2015
• Developed the Kindergarten Organizational and Operational Manuals
• Produced (5) educational films to support the Early Learning Standards
• Prepared (7) booklets on the basics of education targeting families and female kindergarten teachers.
• Launched the Kindergarten website
