Development of Early Childhood Education Learning Standards

Description:
The Early Childhood Education Learning Standards Project and Kindergarten Leadership Capacity Building is one of the strategic projects
to develop public education. The project developed a document consisting of ten standards covering all aspects of early childhood
education. This was achieved in collaboration with a well-known international think tank in this field. The kindergarten leadership team
(20 members) was enabled to develop the Early Learning Standards Document through training and supervision over 14 months where
the document will be accredited by the aforesaid think tank.
Accomplishments in 2015
• Developed the Early Learning Standards document for the 3-6 year old age group in Arabic and English
• Built the capacity of kindergarten leaders
• Enhanced the level of education quality at the early childhood stage in line with the learning standards

Hodhun (Cuddle) Project for Training Caregivers for Nurturing Children and their Learning from
Birth to 3 Years

Description:
The project trains caregivers who work at nurseries to take care of children and their learning and development from birth to
3 years. The project also provides caregivers with the necessary skills to deal with the child and his environment in line with his
growth attributes.

Accomplishments in 2015
• Developed (5) training toolkits to train caregivers
• Conducted the 1st training program over 10 days (50 hours)
• Trained (18) Master Trainers to train caregivers on how to teach and nurture 1-3 year old children
